It’s always a pleasure to invite passionate homecooks to come share with us their story and a little about themselves beyond the photo of beautiful and super yummy looking food. Today, we are delighted to have Edith to share with us about herself and her cooking/baking experiences.
I am a homemaker for the last 10 years. I enjoy cooking and baking for family and friends.
What inspires you when it comes to food?
As I cooked mainly for my family and friends thus they are my inspiration.
What do you enjoy about cooking or baking?
The end results. Looking at the satisfied look from my loved ones seriously makes my day. The critic that I get from them is the most valuable lesson to improve myself.
What is your favourite kind of food to make?
I love to cook spicy food as my hubby loves them. Though the process is longer but the challenges and satisfaction are greater. I only wish that my younger child will acquire this tastebud soon.
What is your favourite recipe posted on your blog/website?
I love the Durian Pengat posted on my old blog. Hope to get some nice durian so that I can replicate once again for my new blog.
What is your favourite kitchen tool/appliance?
My oven. All things can be substituted except oven.
What is your best tip for getting dinner on the table?
Women are good at time management and multi tasking. It is in our nature. Thus plan ahead and be versatile.
What is your favourite part about blogging?
About being able to share just like how I learnt from others. Also I am able to meet like minded people who later on become friends. Sharing the same passion is very enriching.
What is your favourite thing about your kitchen?
It is well ventilated and I have a nice work area to churn out my bakes.
What was the first dish you’ve ever cooked?
Is instant noodles considered? After married, I think I cooked stew very often as it was the easiest one dish meal to get ready. I dumped everything into the slow cooker and voila, it will be ready for our dinner after work.
Which is your favourite food blogs/websites?
I do not have a favourite blog/website as each and everyone has its own strength. It also depends on which range of inspiration I am drawing on for that day.
