Bake With Charlynn : Bacon Cheese Loaf

Cheesy Bacon Loaf



• 3 slices of bacon
• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• 250g bread flour
• 15g castor sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp instant yeast
• 150g water

• 20g unsalted butter
• 30g sliced onion
• 40g mozzarella cheese
• 1/8 tsp black pepper


1. Slice bacon and fry till crispy over small fire, drain off excess oil and season with black pepper
2. Mix all of ingredient B together and knead till slightly glossy
3. Add in unsalted butter and continue kneading till it passes the windowpane test
4. Knead in bacon from (A) and leave dough to proof for roughly 80mins
5. Roll dough into a round ball, cover with clingfilm and let dough rest for 15mins
6. Roll dough to 20cm x 15cm, and shape
7. Proof dough in baking tin for another 50mins
8. Sprinkle sliced onions, cheese and black pepper on loaf before sending it to the oven
9. Bake @ 180°C for 30mins
