Having a fish dish on the dinner table everyday in my home is a must. The 60 different ways to prepare fish can really come in handy when ideas run out. Fish are an excellent source of proteins and contains less fat which contribute to lower cholesterol and which helps us to maintain a good diet to prevent cardiovascular diseases. I tried one of the steamed fish recipes, Steamed Threadfin With Soyabean Paste and it was fantastic! I could not get my hands on Threadfin so I settled with Seabass to try out this recipe. Not only was it healthy being steamed, the flavours all came together excellently and within minutes only the skeleton was left laying. Doesn’t it look gorgeous!
If you, like me, cannot do without fish in your daily family meals, I would recommend this cookbook. Chef Pung shows you a surprising number of ways to prepare your fish dish – 20 steam, 14 pan-fried and deep-fried, 6 baked, 11 stir-fried and braised and 9 fish soup recipes to be exact!
